The Coterie is a boutique Organic, family owned winery based in Marlborough who provide a facility for small batch, premium contract winemaking.

We are looking to add to our winemaking team and are after a person with the nous to be part of this new and exciting phase in Marlborough with small batch organic winegrowing – we are after a full time Cellar Hand!

The team is young and enthusiastic, producing organic wines for some top Marlborough family owned wine brands.

We require a cellar hand to join us in our quest to produce the best wines possible for our clients, in our fun, wine focused environment.

Reporting to our client winemaker and two assistant winemakers, it is a small team with plenty of scope to learn. The role will be very autonomous so the successful candidate must be competent and willing to learn in all facets of cellar work.

This is a new permanent, hands-on position and will be involved in all aspects of day-to-day cellar operations and wine production.

You will bring a broad range of skills to the company and the successful applicant will require the following attributes:

  • Two vintages experience

  • Be self-motivated and able to work both on their own and as part of a team.

  • Be proactive and use initiative.

  • Hold a current driver licence and forklift licence (or forklifting experience)

  • Show a passion for wine and attention to detail.

  • Be well-organised, have good time management

  • A good sense of humour

  • A good level of fitness
